WHAT MAKES SPINNOVA® DIFFERENT
SPINNOVA® is a next-generation textile fiber made with FSC-certified wood pulp, using a patented, chemical-free mechanical process. With no harmful solvents, the cellulose is transformed into a soft and durable fiber.

Spinnova is a Finnish material innovation company redefining how textiles are made. Their process uses FSC-certified wood, avoids toxic chemicals, and requires minimal water, creating a fiber that is traceable, recyclable, and biodegradable.

In 2022, ASK Scandinavia introduced MIRUM® in our bags and accessories, a material that met our standards for; lower-impact innovation, refined aesthetics, and long-lasting performance.

MIRUM® is the world’s first plastic-free leather alternative. It is made from natural rubber, plant oils, waxes, minerals, and pigments. No plastics, no toxins. A premium, innovative material crafted with NFW’s patented plant-based curing technology.

In 2019, ASK Scandinavia introduced ECONYL® regenerated fiber by Aquafil in our Ocean Collection, reinforcing our commitment to circularity, traceability, and high-performance design.

WHAT MAKES ECONYL® NYLON DIFFERENT
ECONYL® yarn is a durable, premium regenerated nylon made entirely from post-industrial and post-consumer waste; such as fishing nets, carpet flooring, industrial plastic and fabric scraps. Through Aquafil’s chemical depolymerization process, old nylon is broken down into its original monomers and rebuilt into nylon that’s qualitatively identical to virgin nylon, yet infinitely recyclable as a single material.

It performs like virgin nylon; durable, resilient, and soft to the touch, while offering a far lower climate impact (saving roughly 70,000 barrels of crude oil per 10,000 tons of production of ECONYL® raw material).
