SUSTAINABILITY

We promise to be a conscious brand you can trust a brand that acts with environmental responsibility and makes sure our makers are treated with dignity and paid with fair wages.

1. BAGS MADE TO BE CARRIED FORWARD

We aim to make high-quality products that last. When designing our highly versatile bags, longevity and timelessness is our priority.

2. RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURING
We have chosen to produce all of our bags in Finland and Estonia, because we trust and know this factory well and can visit them regularly. We also want to produce locally to minimise the carbon footprint. Strict social and environmental regulations (e.g. labor rights, working conditions, wages, chemical restrictions) are ensured.

3. PACKAGING
We use packaging made in Europe from recycled materials and encourage our customers to reuse and recycle. We ship our online orders in 100% recyclable paper and cardboard packages.

4. INNOVATIVE MATERIALS
We put in a lot of effort into finding solutions and processes with the low impact on the environment, animals and people.

We choose each material with intention and care so that we produce responsibly made products. Learn more about each material we use below:

ECONYL® regerated nylon: a yarn made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic.

DESSERTO®: This year we launched a new exciting collection using DESSERTO®, a material made from cactus that is USDA organically grown with rainwater and Earth minerals. 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

RECYCLED POLYESTER: The linings and straps used for the OCEAN Collection are made from GRS certified recycled polyester from Italy.

GOTS ORGANIC COTTON: The lining used in the PLANT LEATHER Collection is made from GOTS certified organic cotton.

ORGANIC COTTON: All of our care labels are made from compostable undyed organic cotton from Portugal.

ZIPPERS: All zippers in the PLANT LEATHER Collection comes from LAMPO in Italy. All zippers are OEKO-TEX® certified and have organic cotton tape.

LEFT OVER MATERIALS: We reduce our impact by the choice of materials in our products, but perhaps most importantly, we aim to only produce what we need to avoid overconsumption and stagnant inventory. If it happens that we have left over material we use our left overs before producing new materials.
