Hi Vilma, can you introduce yourself with a few sentences?

My name is Vilma Bergenheim, I’m a mom of a 4,5 year old boy called Tyson and I have had a long career in modeling, which I recently started doing again here in Sweden where we currently live.  I’m also a health coach - I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle.

What is a fun way of spending time together with the family?

Our family is really tight and we spend a lot of time together. Our boy is very energetic so we normally play sports. We love to go skating or play tennis. We also enjoy going out for lunch or dinner as a family.

How do you disconnect in a digital world?

I’m a lot at my phone so I try to not to look at it when I’m with Tyson. I also don’t sleep with my phone close by to avoid checking it if I wake up during the night. When we all eat together we keep our phones and iPads away, which I find to be good.

Do you have a favourite party moment?

I love Tyson’s birthday because he was born around midsummer, which is a really big holiday in Finland as it is the time of the summer when it is the most daylight. We are always at our summer place - a very important and beautiful place for us in the south of Finland - with our families and Tyson’s cousins whom he loves to be with.

What place do you want to visit and why?

We have travelled a lot and used to live in Florida for 5 years. I miss the sun now when we are in Sweden so always during winter I long to go back to visit. Tyson would like to go to New York, where my husband and I lived before he was born, so I look forward to go back one day with all of us!

Can you share a funny family moment?

We went to watch the movie Sing, which was great! There’s a lot of dancing and singing in the movie. Tyson loved one song in which they are singing ¨OMG LOOK AT THAT BUTT”.  Now, of course, he is dancing every day and everywhere shaking his butt … Hahaha.

Do you have a tradition in your family that you are particularly fond of?

Christmas has always been really important for our family. We are always trying to spend it with our families even though we don’t live in the same country. It is such a pleasure to see the joy in Tyson and his cousins when sharing time together.

A good piece of advice that you have kept in mind?

Probably that you as a mom know your kid the best: trust your own instances with parenting and taking care of them.

How do you manage to balance your life between family, work and everything else?

Oh, I think it’s definitely not easy. My husband used to travel a lot and as we have not been living in Finland where our families live, I choose to stay home with Tyson. I feel it is really important for him that he feels safe and protected if you can say so as we have had multiple homes. Now he has started school and I’m really happy doing my own work again. You just have to do what works for your family and not to compare with others. That’s what I have learned .
