Sustainably focused fashion company ASK Scandinavia appoints Monika Englicht as its new CEO to start building the Finnish fashion brand on a global scale. ASK Scandinavia’s Founder, Karoliina Bärlund, will continue as Creative Director and Chairman of the Board.
ASK Scandinavia announced today that Monika Englicht has been appointed the company's new CEO. Monika is an experienced business leader in the fashion industry.
By hiring an external CEO, fashion company ASK Scandinavia will kick off its international growth strategy, starting with a focus on Europe while continuing its commitment to sustainability in its products, supply chain, and corporate values. CEO succession will be a key to international growth.
Monika is from Warsaw, Poland, and was educated at Warsaw University. With more than 20 years of experience in the fashion industry in senior management and executive roles at brands such as ALDO Shoes & Accessories and Sugarfree, Monika is an end-to-end consumer goods marketplace expert, able to create scaleable and profitable growth.
“We are thrilled that Monika has joined ASK Scandinavia as our CEO. The company will benefit from her profound experience, which will be crucial as we take our first big steps toward global expansion,” says Karoliina Bärlund, Founder of ASK Scandinavia. “We share the same vision and values related to people, planet and profit (TBL).
At ASK Scandinavia, the new CEO’s goal is to achieve sustainable growth by creating demand conversion from existing unsustainable market shares.
“We are seeking expansion first in Europe, then the US and other markets, aiming to do so through a slow-fashion approach, “ says Monika Englicht.
