Rosa Nenonen: Keynote Speaker, Positive Psychology Coach, and Advocate for Sustainable Living

Rosa Nenonen was the face of ASK Scandinavia’s first-ever campaign shoot and we have been friends since. We’re delighted to speak with her about her career, the balance between motherhood and work, and her thoughts on sustainability in fashion.

Meet Rosa Nenonen

Hi! Could you tell us briefly about who you are and what you do?

Hi, I’m Rosa – a speaker, author, and coach. I’m also a single mother to my five-year-old son, Bruno.

Parenting and Personal Growth

Can you share your experience as a parent? What are some of the joys and challenges you've encountered?

The hardest decision I’ve made as a parent was getting a divorce. However, today I’m much happier, and I feel I have so much more to give to Bruno. We share a really close and special bond.

Balancing a career with parenthood can be challenging. How do you manage both responsibilities effectively?

I know that balancing a career with parenthood can be hard. The good thing in my situation is that every other week, when Bruno is with his father, I have time to focus on my work and put in long hours. Work is a really important part of who I am. It fulfills me just as much as being a mother does.

Sustainability in Fashion

How important is sustainability in fashion for you? How do you approach shopping?

Sustainability is a key factor in my fashion choices. As a former model, I learned to recognize high-quality craftsmanship while working with fashion brands. I don’t shop often, but when I do, I opt for timeless, well-made pieces that will last for years.

A Message for Other Parents

Are there any messages or themes you hope to inspire in other parents?

The most important thing I want to share with other parents is this: Taking care of yourself is not selfish. When you prioritize your own well-being and happiness, it positively impacts your children too.
