Totti Nyberg

Can you introduce yourself with a sentence or two?

My name is Totti Nyberg. I am a 35-year sales and marketing consultant for fashion and lifestyle brands. I have two kids, Eddie 4 years and Billy 1,5. Born and raised in Helsinki, Finland.

How do you disconnect in a digital world?

My personal rule in 2016 was not to take my laptop home when leaving the office, or at least not to take it out of the bag when I get home. But I realized that the phone actually is the biggest problem as it's just so easy to grab. I should try not to be on the phone all the time.

What is a fun way of spending time together with the family?

Waking up together in the morning. That moment we share all together before getting out of bed. Also, my kids love water so I'd say the pool/beach would the best place to spend time together. I love building sand castles and to swim so kids are a perfect match for me. Also, Pokemon Go is a great way to go out together and walk around for some fresh air. Kids learn directions, reading maps etc. But it's still a game, and I do prefer reading books but then again books don't take you outside for long healthy walks.

Is there a useful product, service or website that makes your life with kids easier?

We ordered this home delivery for groceries last year so that we can spend extra more time together that otherwise would spend in the grocery store or just planning what to eat! Highly recommended.

What kids related brand do you appreciate?

Mini Rodini always delivers great designs and quality. Also props to Bugaboo for their innovations.

For sure to see them grow and learn new stuff.

A favorite party moment?

Flow festival. Every year. Never disappoints.

What do you wish people would do more of?

Make more peace.

What place do you want to visit and why?

New Zealand because it's New Zeeland.

Funny family moment?

Every time my older son tries to pronounce Spaghetti. According to him, it's pronounced "spadekki" and it just sounds hilarious.

Do you have a tradition in your family that you are particularly fond of?

We don't really have any traditions. We always try to come up with new stuff!

What annoys you?

Waking up at night to the kids crying. I am not very nice tired.

A good piece of advice that you have kept in mind?

Kids are born and enters your life, not the other way around. Keep living your own life like always before, just count the kids in.

What has been a popular kids book in your family?

All books about animals or trucks.

What does your ASK bag contain?

Baby wipes. Loads of baby wipes. Not only to wipe the kids, also to keep other stuff clean like my sneakers. The kids will grow up but the wipes are staying. Oh and of course snacks.

How did parenthood change your life?

I just got new priorities.

How do you manage to balance your life between family, work and everything else?

I am really bad at this so I can't really answer. I should manage things better as I am always stressed about the fact that I can't always do everything.

What inspires you?

Knowing there's always a new holiday trip ahead with the family.

What is your ideal day off?

Just being at home.
